ticket to Hong Kong

In the name of Allah,

As mentioned in the previous post, this trip to Hong Kong/ China is not a holiday trip. We need to find the imformation about Hong Kong / China e.g transportation, food, accomodation and communication there on our own. Our trip is from 11-15 of January 2011, 3 months left. Within this time, we need to work and strive hard to generate at least RM20,000. Can we do it? InsyaAllah, with Allah's help, we can do it.

For the beginning, to buy the ticket, we use our own money. To get such ticket, personally said, I learn a lot of things. This is my first time I do ticket hunting (never travelled by flight before), spending so much time to get the best price. I still remember, at the beginning we planned to go to Beijing, the ticket at that time (around 14th of Ramadhan) is about RM400++. Taking too long time to discuss when we are gonna have our trip, we failed to get that ticket as the price goes up very fast. Then we seek for other destination. (recall back the memory at Islamica). Clicking the Air Asia button for flight from Penang Airport, Alhamdulillah, we managed to get the Hong Kong ticket. It was promo price.

RM98 (to Hong Kong) + RM98 (return to Penang Airport) + RM 171 (tax&luggage&etc) = RM367

We've spent about RM367 for the ticket buying and we really hope that it will be covered back by the money generated later.

A lot of things / business are planned to be run. May Allah eases our work.

Introduction - Global Ukhuwah

Global Ukhuwah is an expedition whereby a group of students will be visiting other countries. Therefore, an initiative has been taken by Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) to organize this kind of expedition for the first time in the university. A group of 10 students have been selected who are willing to give their fullest commitment into turning this programme a success.
The students will have to undergoes a lot of preparation especially in generating funds for the activities throughout the days in the selected country. It is a journey where the participants will learn about different cultures, languages, food and most importantly, the practice of Islam there. 


Objectives of having such expedition are :

• As a platform for event organizers to identify and recognize talents of UTP students.
• Build strong collaboration relationship between Malaysia higher institutions and oversea higher institutions.
• To learn about the practice of Islam in other countries.
• To learn other languages and culture of Islamic society in other countries.
• To get know other Muslims in other countries.
• To learn by ourselves on how to organize international trips.
• To give the experiences to the students on how to generate income by themselves.
• Introduce UTP internationally.
• To comply with university’s mission :

Since this is for the first time, we have chosen Hong Kong and China as our pioneer countries. With the hopes that after this, there will be more programme of this kind will be organized by students of UTP.
